Club Efficience debuts its 2018 season of business dinners with Mr. Alexandre MAYMAT, Head of Africa/Overseas Region at Société Générale

During this business dinner, hosted at the hotel Marriot Champs-Elysées, Mr. Alexandre MAYMAT presented the bank’s strategy in Africa to the 80 invitees, which involves the development of commercial synergy between Africa and China. But, above all, he explained the importance of YUP,“Mobile Money” application in Africa that provides access to a complete range of transactional and financial services. YUP is already implemented in Senegal and Ivory Coast and will continue to expand, currently in Guinea and Togo.
The application is available to all who own a mobile, with or without a bank account, and allows the user to withdraw, deposit, or transfer funds.
Mr. MAYMAT also had the opportunity to speak with our guests and respond to their questions concerning the actions of the bank to support small and medium business development in Africa. On this subject, he responded, “there cannot be development without collaborating with small and medium businesses, and to achieve such SG is working with their larger clients who have the knowledge of this type of business structure.”
We concluded the evening with confidence in Société Générale’s actions in Africa, which puts in place a “win-win” relationship between Europe and Africa.
